My son Joel was awarded his fifth US Figure Skating Gold test medal (his senior freeskate medal - gold singles) at today’s Broadmoor Skating Club Annual Meeting 6/9/2024 at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
I found a photo of my daughter Rebekah being awarded her fifth gold medal 10 years ago on 6/8/14 by longtime Broadmoor Skating Club test chairman Janna Blanter.
Joel began his figure skating test journey at a Broadmoor SC test session on August 21, 2005 where he passed his pre-pre moves and pre-pre freeskate and two preliminary dances. Rebekah’s first test session was also at a Broadmoor Skating Club test session on April 24, 2005. Janna Blanter was the test chairman then and still is! Thank you Broadmoor Skating Club and Janna Blanter!
