Wonderful Photos of Annabelle Ice Dancing With Logan

Annabelle took the Golden Waltz international dance test in St. Louis, Missouri on 12-15-17, but only passed by one judge out of three, so she has to retake the test again, but the photos my first ice dance partner, Corey Isenberg, took of her and Logan are wonderful!

I've also included the video of the test and warm up and the judges sheets for reference at the bottom of this blog post.

Note from Mom:  I am so proud of Annabelle and I thought she did a great job!

The video playlist below includes the warm up of not only Annabelle but of all the skaters in Annabelle's warm up group.

Good Advice For Every Serious Figure Skater

Somewhere behind the athlete you've become, the hours of practice, the coaches who pushed you, and the fans who cheered, is the little girl who fell in love with the sport and never looked back. Skate for her!

Reunion with Igor Lisovsky! 12-14-17

Reunion with Igor Lisovsky! 12-14-17!

Igor won Worlds and Europeans in pair skating with Irina Vorobieva in 1981 and is good friends with my friend Larisa. Last time we saw one another was when my three kids were little at Larisa's house!

Great Fun Social Ice Dancing! 12-14-17

Only those who enjoy social ice dancing can ask a stranger to do the Dutch Waltz on a public session and end up having great fun!

Today, I asked Bill to do a Dutch Waltz and we ended up doing the Canasta Tango next, followed by the Fiesta Tango, Willow Waltz, American Waltz, Cha Cha, HIckory Hoedown, Golden Skaters Waltz, Baby Blues, and about 10 patterns of the Swing Dance!

So much fun!

Reunion With My First Ice Dance Partner Corey Isenberg! 12-13-17

My very first ice dance partner was Corey Isenberg. I was only 13 years old and he was 21.

Corey doesn't skate anymore, but we couldn't resist taking some photos together in Kilian and Foxtrot position! Also, Corey's voice is on a lot of ice dance CDs since he has had a lifetime hobby of putting ice dance music together, and we heard his voice announcing the American Waltz on the session I skated!
