Yesterday, I reunioned with former US ice dancing champion and world and Olympic figure skating coach Peter Betts! (I'm going to help him write a book that includes his memories of what he learned from Gus Lussi, Cecilia Colledge, Maribel Vinson, and other figure skating greats from the past!
Peter grew up in Boston and has so many wonderful stories to tell about his days of training there at the Skating Club of Boston and also about his summers in Lake Placid.
He told me he has gold medals in singles, pairs, and dance! Totally incredible!
