I have decided that the adventures of a figure skating family are so very entertaining. The entire world needs to know the ups and downs, and the joys related to ice skating. As often as possible I will update this blog with my figure skating family's unusual and unique day to day ice skating adventures!
She has worked super hard at Pikes Peak Community College and has earned an Associate Degree in Anthropology! She will next be taking a break from school and begins touring with Disney On Ice in Japan, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand starting in late June 2018.
I finally figured out how to Telemark Ski on Mother's Day 5-13-18 thanks to my daughters' help! We went to A-Basin to ski on Mother's Day on May 13, 2018! In figure skating language it is like doing a bunch of lunges with your toe pick dragging!
I always thought I was an "oddball" since I get so much pleasure from moving forward on wheels, blades, skis, and scooters, but then I learned about this guy, Slomo. He and I get the same happiness by moving!
Nothing makes me happier than being outside moving along a bike path on a scooter or being in the mountains on a scooter or exploring a city on a scooter or riding a bike or inline skating or ice skating or being on cross country skis or downhill skis! I also get pleasure out of hiking and kayaking and last year I gave stand up paddle boarding a try.
Someday, I will go to Pacific Beach and ride my scooter there and ride alongside Slomo!
Watch this video below to learn about Slomo who skates on the beach boardwalk in San Diego for 5 hours a day! He gave up a successful career in medicine to skate all day long on the beach!
I am such a proud mom. My son Joel has been touring with Disney On Ice Frozen for four years now and in that four years I have seen the show 20 times! Today 4/21/18 was the 20th!
