The origin of the word "office"

The origin of the word "office":

Once upon a time and long ago, everyone on earth ice skated.

People either worked ON the ice or OFF the ice.

Working OFF the ice was considered "off-ice" hours and people worked inside of buildings and rooms during their off-ice hours, so that is where the word OFFICE originated from.
